The Armed Man: A Mass For Peace by Karl Jenkins
With Lancaster Singers
‘The Battle’s O’er: A Nation’s Tribute’
This World War 1 Centenary Concert will be an important local component to the United Kingdom’s tribute on this most poignant of days. The actual concert will start at 7.45 p.m., but before that three events will take place in the Priory churchyard from 6.45 p.m.: the sounding of the Last Post, the lighting of Beacons in the churchyard and on Lancaster Castle, and the striking of a 30-minute peal of bells. We expect there to be a fairly senior presence of City, County and University dignitaries.
