Five centuries of Russian sacred music

Ural State Chamber Choir of the Perm Philharmonic

The concert program “Five Centuries of Russian Sacred Music” will allow listeners to walk a five-century-long path while enjoying a capella choral singing. The chant of the Valaam monastery “Today is born from the Virgin” (16th century) will be performed and the best spiritual chants of such Russian composers as N. Diletsky (17th century) will be sounded; D. Bortnyansky (18th century); P. Chesnokov, N. Cherepnin, P. Tchaikovsky (19th century); S. Rachmaninov, G. Sviridov, A. Schnittke (20th century) and our contemporary Anton Viskov.
